I flew with the airline on a staff ticket so first off I can't comment on the regular rate. However in talking to fellow travellers it didn't appear to be significantly higher than other carriers from England to Switzerland (although Saudi has the monopoly from Manchester to Geneva)

The flights themselves were little short of outstanding, both planes were immaculate 777s, of -200 or -300 series I can't remember, but both were either new or very recently refurbished.

The entertainment system wasn't a big issue to me due to the short duration of the flight, however there were seat back TVs on both flights.

The cabin crew were some of the best I have ever seen, professionally dishing out the meals (only a sandwich, again due to the short duration of the flight, but many carriers would not have given you anything on a flight of such duration) Their appearance was also extremely smart in their blue-coloured uniforms.

Both takeoffs and landings were superb; I hardly noticed we were airborne and touching the ground.

The business class upgrade on the outbound was the best aspect; priority boarding in Manchester and swift exit in Geneva, in order to retrieve my baggage and catch my train connection on to Lausanne. Also on the return I was held up slightly owing to a slow security check in Geneva; Saudi Airlines ensured the flight was held so that I could catch it. Very professional from the ground staff in Geneva and from Saudi.

Most definitely will I fly Saudi Airlines on this route again; it's just a shame the flight only leaves on a Monday and a Friday. Maybe sometime soon it will depart daily... We'll see...
