Home > Delta > 2009 > ReviewTaken 23 September 2009 from Washington, DC (Washington National Airport) - DCA to San Francisco, CA (San Francisco International Airport) - SFOThis trip was paid using Frequent Flyer Miles; there were more choices using Saver First Class than Standard Economy. I left 2 hours for connections in Atlanta on the out-bound flight and 3 hours on the in-bound. The time was spent in the Delta Lounge. I bought a month's pass which saved $10 over two one-day passes. Delta still offers complementary wine and liquor in these lounges. Check-in service was very fast and efficient. It helped that I checked in at off-peak hours. First Class seating was merely OK; I suppose that the aircraft were strictly for domestic flights. A larger tray on the center console would have been helpful. The flight between Atlanta and San Francisco offered dinner service: salad, roll, main dish and dessert, smartly presented by nothing special. The flight attendants were especially friendly on the return trips. Baggage was delivered fairly quickly on the out-bound trips. My baggage was waiting for me on the return trip because of the long layover in Atlanta, which was a pleasant surprise. Delta also handled a box checked as baggage with care. The added roominess of the First Class cabin resulted in a very smooth and relaxing trip. | ||
