Taken 1 October 2009 from Marrakech (Menara) - RAK to London, England (Heathrow Airport) - LHR

The check-in at Marrakech's smart terminal 1 was very quick and courteous. Flight from Marrakech to Heathrow was via Casablanca. Plane was a Boeing 767 300 and at first appeared to be in good condition. But before take-off there was trouble securing shut two overhead lockers in front of me and subsequently both these and another behind sprang open during the flight with safety concerns. The plane was a few minutes late taking off but the air conditioning coped well with the 30C + temperatures outside. Cabin crew inspection was cursory with no attention to several people who reclined before take-off. Unsurprisingly there was no service on the 25 minute hop to Casablanca. On the second leg a lunch of spicy paste, chicken and rice was tasty and there was local wine as well as soft drinks. Two passengers had to be calmed down after an altercation over a reclining seat and a child was hit by a piece of baggage falling from a locker and this required a call for a doctor who was forthcoming. The seat pitch was fine and I am well over 6ft. The flight arrived a few minutes late.
