Home > Delta > 2001 > ReviewTaken June 2001 from Huntsville, AL to London GatwickThe 737 from Huntsville to Atlanta had inadequate kneeroom for the six foot (1.83 meter) man next to me. Fortunately I am smaller. The 777 between Atlanta and London was nice enough, although there is a plastic piece under the seats that limits room for feet and bag stowage. I liked the individual entertainment centers at each seat, although it would be nice if they also offered video games like Continental's new 767s. On the return trip, there was no sound coming from my seatmate's headphones, so I had to let her plug her headset into my jack while I read a book. The only lavatories in the 777's main cabin are in the middle of the aircraft. This is annoying if the beverage cart traps you in. My asian vegetarian meal was excellent and the portions were adequate. They were also very generous with the alcohol. Much better than Northwest's trans-Atlantic service. There were minor delays on the return trip, but I didn't miss my connection. On the older MD-88 from Atlanta to Huntsville, I had much more legroom than on the newer 737 on which I started my trip. I hope this doesn't indicate a trend toward even less room. | ||
