Taken August 2001 from Dubi to London

Well I just couldn't resist it! Hell I've got a First Class ticket why not use it. After spending a few hours enjoying the luxury of EK's First Class lounge at Dubi, I made my way onboard Emirates newest B777-300 for flight: EK001 direct to London Heathrow.

This was a late flight so all I wanted to do was eat and then sleep, and that's exactely what I did. After a truly tremendous five course meal I was whacked and fell into a deep slumber only wake with my bed fully reclined and a blanket tucked over me, with a glass of water and a cup of tea being made ready for me. Talk about service.

We were 1/2 an hour out of london and had just started our initial decent into LHR. Had a great breakfast of pastries, a full English Breakfast, some OJ and a cup of tea. Read the papers, fastened my seat belt and withing five minutes I felt the slight double bump as we hit terra firma.

What a great set of flight Emirates. Although not the quickest route from Australia - London, I enjoy the experience of flying and like to spend as long in the air as possible. I know you are saying strange man, but hey, I love it! And Emirates just make it that little bit special.

Looking forward to my next Australian trip, this time it's with BA in Club World and First so look out for the report.
