Taken October 2001 from San Francisco to Shanghai

Service is OK. The attendant forgot to give my row a drink the first time round.

Legroom is good for economy class. I'm 6'2" and my knees did not touch the next seat even when fully reclined. Much better than the Japan Airlines flight I took for the return.

Food is not very good.

Value is good, particularly if you get a ticket from the agents in San Francisco Chinatown. You can consistently get a SFO-PVG r/t for $600-$650, even with little notice.
