Home > EasyJet > 2001 > ReviewTaken July 2001 from London Luton to Palma Mallorca (PMI)The only possible reason to travel with Easyjet is if they are the cheapest possible option on the date you need to travel - they need to be at least 40% cheaper than any non low cost conventional competitor to even consider using their extremely unenjoyable service. Firstly lack of an allocated seat - I am not a member of the football loving herd - I don't need the scrum or ending up in a seat with no legroom (I'm 6ft 3in tall). Nearly all charter airlines have always bent over backwards to put me in row 1 or an emergency exit row seat, even when I have checked in quite late. Easyjet staff are the rudest and most uncaring I have ever met on any airline, including many charter flights I have taken, all of which were much better. The on board catering on Easyjet is abysmal - I know it's part of the deal that you have to pay for it, but that doesn't excuse the choice of what's on offer being only junk food, and not even any sandwiches on a 2 hour flight. Easyjet seems to go out of its way to put you off travelling with them again by making flying as unglamorous, unpleasant and unexciting as it possibly can. A trip on a long distance National Express coach is, in my experience, more comfortable and better run! I have yet to travel with Ryanair - the only way they could possibly be worse than Easyjet is in punctuality which is the only feature of the Easyjet service I have always found to be OK or even good in several flights with the airline. | ||
