Home > KLM > 2000 > ReviewTaken June 2000 from San Francisco SFO to Amsterdam-GothenburgI came to check in 1 hours and 30 minutes before scheduled take off. After standing in line for about 15 minutes, a lady from KLM approaches me and some other passengers in the line. She asks to see our tickets, and passport, she makes a note in our tickets with the time WHEN SHE CAME to us. In other words, according to her the last 7 people in line were there ONLY 1 hour 15 minutes before take off including me. After standing in line for about 40 minutes we all were told that we came to check in too late. Our reserved seats had been sold to standby people. The 5 people ahead of me had been there 2 hours before take off, however, since the lady from KLM did not show up to write a time in their tickets immediately they lost their seats. That's not all, I refused to leave the check in desk before they gave me another flight, it took me 3 hours of talking (to a wall, that was what it felt like) before I finally got a flight the next day. But that flight was not of equal value, I had to fly to Memphis and wait there for 5 hours, and then to Amsterdam, and then finally I was home, totally exhausted after my vacation. I thought I was going to feel relaxed and energized after my vacation, but NOT WITH KLM. I strongly recommend not to fly KLM. AIR FRANCE is much better, I have flown with them 3 times within a year and they are great!! | ||
