Taken February 2001 from London Luton to Liverpool

For £5 each way, you can't really moan at anything they throw at you - it would cost you over 10 times that on a train.

Outbound service was fine. There was about a 40 minute delay which there was no explanation for, nor did they announce.

Not sure what to make of their free seating plan - myself and my colleague (it was a business trip) had boarding cards 3 and 4, which you might think is good as we are guaranteed to get to pick the best seats......well, it would be if they didn't announce boarding in chunks of 50 odd seats at a time - this caused the inevitable stampede of people trying to get their favourite seat - quite why they were bothering on a 30 minute flight, I don't know!!

The return flight was delayed quite badly from Liverpool - around 4 hours. In fact it would have been quicker to walk out of the terminal, hire a car and drive back to Luton!!

As for service....... no frills means no frills. As the flight was so short, they didn't perform any service at all - you could call a cabin crew member if you wanted anything. Staff were friendly and the aircraft were clean.... although I did cringe at flying on something with easyjet.com down the side in great big orange letters!! - all in all, not too bad.
