Home > Airtours > 2001 > ReviewTaken November 2001 from Arrecife to LutonAs with the outward flight, it was excellent all the way. Got seat 12D again - which is a must on any charter airline if you are 6ft 2. Saw the plane come in early this time, G-TICL, another of the Airtours A320's. Parked at an airbridge we were boarded an hour early in the view of getting an earlier slot. Then waited a while on the ground before the same captain as on the outward journey advised we were waiting for a last minute standby passenger to board, promptly she walked into the cabin as the captain finished. Advised again about the opening of the exits before another manual safety demo. Take off was well ahead of schedule and we had a very pleasant cruise back. In fact I thought we had enough time left at 7pm to nip to the loo as we were not supposed to land till 8pm. As I waited at the front loo, the seatbelt sign was applied and we began to descend, the attendant leaned across and made a PA for all of the passengers to be seated immediately, but kindly winked that I was OK to wait for the toilet - very humanitrian. The captain then gave us precise indications of our route over London and the different place we had flown over, before we made a rather rough landing back at freezing Luton 35 minutes early, which was proudly broadcast to the passengers in the welcome to Luton PA. Another great flight, don't let me down Airtours. | ||
