Home > GO > 2001 > ReviewTaken November 2001 from London Stansted to NewcastleChose to fly with Go-fly to London as it was cheaper than the train. 37 pounds return. Left NCL 12 days before and was heading back after a visit to Lanzarote with Airtours from Luton (see seperate review). Got to Stansted at 5am, checked in without a queue, got a seat in 7A. Had breakfast in departures which was not pleasant at all. Boarded us in excellent fashion, given a very brief safety demo and we took off almost immediately after. It was dark and the Captain took the time to point out what exactly the twinkling lights below us were. For such a short flight the crew should really just stay seated, but they instead offer a variety of products to ease early morning stomachs. I did decline these. There were 4 crew on a plane carrying around 95 people and they were very good crew considering the time of day. We made a lovely low pass over the Tyne and I could also make out the Royal Quays shopping outlet, unremarkable landing and prompt deplaning soon followed. Picked up at the door by waiting relatives. Time from plane to car, 15 minutes. Was excellent all round, beats GNER any day. BA, offer us LHR or LGW and for what - 100 or so more, WHY? Move over BA. | ||
