I travelled the old Stansted - Berlin-Tegel route in February 2001, but Buzz now flies to Berlin-Schoenfeld airport instead - just as well, as on the way back we were sent to the runway twice, before being halted literally seconds before take-off and sent back to the terminal (heavy snow, icy runway, other planes had priority, blah blah blah).

By this time, the stewardesses had begun an on-request food delivery service (such childish fun to be had, ringing the attention-request button then switching the light off so they don't know it was you). The stupidly expensive food (that's how budget airlines make their profit) had not been restocked since before the outward flight, so it quickly ran out. The chief stewardess (ferocious) then tried to charge me 1 pound for a glass of water, because they 'only give free water to people taking medicine'. A few emphatic coughs were enough to convince a different stewardess (far less ferocious) that I really *did* need that glass of water, and it eventually arrived (gratis). We were 'only' 5 hours late into stansted, but that was German ATC's fault, not Buzz's.

A relative of mine has just travelled the new Buzz Stansted - Berlin-Schoenfeld (or is it Schoenfield?) route and reported no problems, so these congenstion problems should have eased up now.
