Taken December 2001 from Seattle, WA to Billings, MT

Waited in line at Seattle-Tacoma Horizon Air check-in counter for 3 hours on 12/22/2001 to check my baggage and get my boarding pass. Actually stood at the counter for 15 minutes (not exaggerating) before a Horizon counter person could help me. Finally the Horizon employee told me that I had missed my flight (this was at 10:15a and my flight didn't actually depart until 10:40a). Best they could do was re-book me on a flight 2 days later.

Horizon Air's Seattle operations were so poorly managed on the morning of 12/22 that it was a complete disgrace. At the check-in counter I saw multiple irate customers trying to re-book flights or demand compensation for rental cars, etc. It was total chaos. Imagine waiting for 3 hours to check your luggage? I never even made it to the supposedly long security line.

Horizon Air are so bad the FAA should put them out of business.
