Home > JetBlue > ReviewTaken December 2001 from Oakland to JFKA lot of little details in this airline add up to a big win for me. All spanking new Airbus A320's in their fleet. Each has it's own name painted under the cockpit and they've all got cool white/grey interiors that made me feel like I was in the aircraft version of the iPod. Leather seats, free headphones you can keep and satellite LCD screens for every passenger. Unfortunately it's not the best TV - full of ads, Animal Planet, that sort of thing. They load from the back to the front, so the people in row 32 aren't waiting for the folks in row 6 to sit down. For a "bargain" airline they come off pretty slick, minus the meals (there are none). I swear there's a bit more legroom than the big two (AA/United). They seem to want to fly from less crowded, secondary airports (like Oakland instead of SFO, Ontario instead of LAX) and they cover upstate NY/ Vermont and that suits me just fine. The prices are very competitive and a one way ticket actually costs half the amount of a round trip. Usually it's almost the same price. Online ticketing is a cinch and you can choose your seat on the website. I think the best part of it all was that since it's small, you don't wait in the cattle lines with the other carriers, you just walk up and check in. They also have their own little "area" at JFK- a circlular terminal that's just JetBlue that feels insulated from the mayhem of the rest of the airport. Highly recommended. | ||
