Cabin crew were universally surly, and leg room in Economy class was positively painful. On the plus side, the in flight entertainment was first rate and the food was quite good. But airlines must get the basics right!! It is no good watching a good movie if you are sitting uncomfortably.

Steadfast reluctance to use jetways at Johannesburg, I ALWAYS, ALWAYS have to catch a bus to a plane waiting on the tarmac. It can be annoying and is clearly unnecessary.
