Home > African Safari Airways > ReviewTaken March 2002 from London Gatwick to MombasaI can't argue with the value for money !! All that you need for a 9 hour flight - a quick check-in, no delays, good service and a good seat. Having read some of the reviews on this site about poor 'Club Class' on the Airbus A310-300, I was interested to see that ASA have renamed this section 'Economy Plus'. I agree with this move. Club Class nowadays leads to the presumption of a rather special flying experience, for example I recently flew to San Francisco on BA in Club Class with the folding flat bed seats. Believe me this means that the next time you fly in Club (on whatever airline) you expect something special. ASA seems to have similar thinking to BA. BA changed their old club seats to 'World Traveller Plus' and this idea has caught on with ASA to. They obviously realised that the 'Club Class' on the new Airbus was not in comparison to their former DC-10, let alone to BA and Virgin, etc, hence the change in name. You can't argue with the value of the upgrade from 'Economy' to 'Economy Plus'though - 2" greater seat pitch 10kg more luggage allowance Free beer, wine and soft drinks Upgrade menu and service For just £100 per person, that's a bargain. Try upgrading on BA or Virgin for £100 !! | ||
