Taken September 1999 from Athens to London Heathrow

A normal trip from Athens to London Heathrow last about 3 and a half hours. Well... in our case it lasted for 6 hours!! We were stuck in the plane for nearly three hours just because passengers from the waiting list got a seat leaving out passengers who had already purchased their ticket ages ago!! The result was a huge delay after everyone was on board, with cabin crew going up and down trying to persuade the passengers that they should leave the plane and another hour delay until their baggage was removed from the aircraft. Very disappointing and very frustrating flight.

Apart from that, the food was great and the flight entertainment was nice. We had a choice of one film and ten different music channels.

Well I hope Olympic Airways has improved a lot since then!
