On arrival at Manchester, the baggage was not unloaded until 1 hour 40 minutes after the plane landed. The airline had not contracted sufficient baggage handlers to deal with 2 flights at the same time. The amount of information available was nil, and the airline refused for over an hour to provide any information whatsoever. I will not be travelling with Air Scandic again. ************************************************** steven@carsurvey.org (I run this website): Below is an official response to this review from the Business Development Manager for Air Scandic. "The flight was delayed by 2 hours 50 minutes due to a breakdown of Manchester Airports baggage handling system delaying the outward flight (& many other airlines flights) from Manchester to Faro. Air Scandic has contracted & pays for sufficient baggage handlers to deal with all our incoming flights. A company called Ringway Handling (an wholly owned subsidary of Manchester Airport) have a monopoly of all baggage handling services & are currently very short staffed. We are applying pressure to ensure passengers on Air Scandic receive the service at Manchester Airport that they are entitled to. The management of both Ringway Handling & Manchester Airport are very complacent about the current inconvenience being caused by them to all passengers of all airlines using Manchester Airport." | ||
