Had a great trip out to New York on Air India. The food and bar service was excellent and I was seated in "posh economy" with more leg room than I knew what to do with.

The return trip however was a different story. I just got the feeling that the cabin crew were badly organised, there were no bar snacks, people were playing musical chairs and the entertainment is non existant by todays standards. I suppose with he cost being so low I shouldn't complain.

Would only fly to New York with Air India again if the price of the ticket was significantly less than the nearest alternative for a direct flight.
