Taken March 2002 from Manchester to Tenerife

Monarch are superb! In response to someone saying Manchester Airport is a hell hole in the Airtours comments page, I have to disagree, it's a dream to fly from. I've flown from most UK airports and Manchester is by far the best.

Heathrow and Gatwick = dirty, old, packed and shabby (a disgrace considering they're the capital's airports).

Luton = departures not bad, arrivals disgusting.

Stansted = not bad.

Norwich = OK, but you can hardly call it an airport, it's so small.

Birmingham = OK.

Newcastle = fine.

Anyway back to my flight, perfectly ontime. Boeing 757 painted in the new livery (very nice). Seats crampted but it's charter, food excellent, entertainment good.

Cabin crew very friendly and proffesional sevice with a smile. Drinks slightly expensive, good range of duty free.

I really enjoyed my my flight with Monarch - the cabin crew made people comfortable and you felt really welcome.

Return flight was just as good. Not a breath of turbulence both ways! In-fact the flight only took 3.55 hours instead of 4.30 on the way home. Well done Monarch!

Would reccomend them to anyone. Superior to JMC and Airtours/My Travel, what a stupid new name! And all that orange on their aircraft makes you feel sick!! It looks even more crap on their Airbus A320's as the plane is too small for that type of design, I should know, I'm a Graphic Designer!

Monarch *****
