Taken June 2002 from Mauritius to Paris CDG

We had originally flown to Mauritius from the Seychelles as part of our honeymoon. Although the airport in Mauritius is pretty basic (I'd recommend avoiding the overpriced crappy sandwiches and bookshop), the flight itself left pretty much bang on time.

As my partner is claustrophobic and generally hates being at the back of the plane, we were given seats close to the front of the economy section (row 10). The stewardess for our section of the plane checked with my wife at the start of the flight and a number of times therafter to ensure that everything was ok - excellent service in my book. The seats themselves were pretty comfortable and featured a small screen and good selection of movies for the flight which is almost 12 hours.

The Airbus 340 was obviously pretty modern and had decent space for seats, and I'm about 182cm tall so I think this is a good benchmark. Also, each seat was also equiped with a skyphone.

The meal was quite good and overall, we got into Paris with a minimum of hassle and with some sleep under our belts - not bad going I think...
