Taken April 2002 from London Heathrow to Chicago

Good one UA. I was impressed overall.

Take off from LHR on time.

I'm only 17, so like a friendly crew. It helps with being adultless at this age!! Shuttling back between UK/USA has an effect on you! United looked after me too. I felt safe, wanted and comfy!.

Asked for the heat to be turned up and back came the reply from a F/A "Of course, I'll consult the flightdeck and see what they can do". 5 minutes later she trotted back to me "I've been to the flightdeck and captain's turning the heating system up". What a star that that pretty hostess was (think her name was Catherine!)! 15 minutes later I was in an aerial suana and man in front wanted the heating down, RIGHT AT MEAL TIME!! Please mate, I'm hungry and want my lunch! Don't disturb the crew, they won't halt the service anyway. Good lunch!.. Had 2 brews!

Had those nifty little tv's. FAB, time flew. I played chess and bought some things from my own seat!.

Afternoon tea was served - that was touching.

Time for arrival into ORD. Had been decending 5 mins - on came the Captain "Folks, gonna be stacking for a few minutes, it's a little busy and we're a few early, so when you start seeing the same fields 4 times you've not gone crazy, you're just coming into Chicago". Ha ha ha, why can't all pilots be so witty?

Bump, bump, drop, bump again, another bump. Going through turbulence in a stack is fab, those nervous flyers finally flip. Anyway, landed and got to the gate, and the crew bidded me farewell. It seems good to have a positive flight now, United keep up the good work! You deserve your custom (I think so anyway).
