Taken June 2002 from Newcastle to Zante

We flew the day after a large scale air traffic control strike in Europe and the day of a general strike in Spain. Much to my surprise our outbound flight to Zante was only delayed 15 mins. The aircraft we flew on was a Skyservice A320. This was one of two of the airlines aircraft on the ground when we arrived. I think MyTravel had brought these two aircraft in to make up for the delays caused by the strike.

The flight itself was uneventful apart from the totally vile cabin crew. I had bought my flight on a flight only basis and decided not to pay £10 for the crap they give you. However, in the eyes of the crew I was some sort of sub-human scum as I had brought some food of my own. I do understand that a flight attendants job is a difficult one, however, the manner in which I was spoken to and regarded was an absolute disgrace. The crew on this flight were the worst possible example for their industry.
