Taken October 1997 from London Gatwick to Banjul, The Gambia

The flight was a bit delayed, but there wasn't that much to complain about!

Most of the air conditioning vents were hanging from the ceiling so we had to clip them back in!

A Stewardess kept on opening the door talking to ground workers and then shutting it, then opening it again (she did this about 4 times which was annoying).

After this the flight left and the service was quite good. The food was hot and was given in good time and we had enough time to eat it without being rushed.

The in-flight entertainment was O.K. but was a bit boring. They had Jasper Carrot talking about air crashes! When we got to the airport it had just been opened and we were the first tourists through the new airport. We had dancers and everything, it was really nice.

On the return the flight was delayed by about 3 hours, but we were the only flight so when it arrived it wasn't long before we were boarded.

The crew were worse on the way back. I know it is a petty complaint, but the men all wore different uniforms which made it quite confusing. One of the cabin crew asked if I wanted tea and I said yes so he poured it and without looking banged it into my tray and spilt some on me. He just said sorry and carried on with my sister's tea. I didn't get any milk and sugar and after asking about 5 times I just drank it black which was disgusting! Apart from that the flight was good and the service was good too. The food was nice and the aircraft was clean and tidy.

We flew on an airbus A300-600R both ways.
