Taken January 2001 from San Francisco to Madrid

The service wasn't the best and their english was even worse... but you could tell they were TRYING.

But the food was among the BEST I've had in economy (only Emirates was better), plenty to eat for a change!! The flight attendants came around many time with baskets of bread and pots of coffee... just like Lufthansa or KLM.

I'd fly Iberia again... it sure beats starving on Japan Airlines.
