Home > Air Gabon > ReviewTaken July 2002 from Malabo to LibrevilleFlight 196 An hour late taking off from Malabo. Do take into account that we are working on African time here. You do need lots of patience when travelling through African airports. It was the oldest 737-200 that I have ever been in. All I can say is that Boeing make a really good product. Inside and outside it really did need a good cleaning. Armrests, trays, fittings, seats were in need of repair. And plane maintenance did cross my mind before we took off! The cabin crew were friendly enough. It's a free for all when you get on the plane, sit where you like. A bit like an African taxi with wings. I was the only person to receive a breakfast. Why, I do not know. I was the only European on this half full flight. We had a one hour stop at Contenou for fuel and passengers and then onto Libreville. What a surprise Libreville was, not quite the typical West African airport. No problems from customs / immigration at all. The airport itself is very clean, tidy, air conditioned and fairly modern looking. | ||
