Monarch claim this to be a scheduled service with complimentary drinks, better standard of in flight food etc.. I do not know whether we caught the staff on a bad day, but they were curt to say the least. Normally flying charter we will buy 2/3 drinks from the bar. When I asked for 3 beers (small tins) and 3 Brandy & Cokes you would have thought that I was trying to rob them. Eventually I was ALLOWED 2 tins, but the steward insisted on opening them thus allowing 1 to get warm and flat. They said it was company policy, but I doubt it. We all know that they can, should we say, supplement their income.... Need I say more.

All in all the flights are not bad and the timings are good. We have used this flight previously however and experienced a delay of 3 hours. This was particularly galling as a Monarch charter flight to Manchester is scheduled to leave at about the same time, and did, right on time!!!
