Home > Air 2000 > 2002 > ReviewTaken June 2002 from Bristol to RhodesOutbound Flight - AMM556C Airbus A321 G-OOAI Flight was delayed about two hours out of Bristol, but this was not Air 2000's fault. The air traffic controllers had been striking again and the skies were very clogged. The pilot took us a different route to Rhodes to avoid the worst of the delays. We took off after it had only been on the ground about 45 minutes. The aircraft was fairly new and very clean. Before take off in Classic Premium on short haul you are given a 'free' (included in the upgrade price) smoothie. That was OK but not the nicest drink I've ever had in my life. Anyway, after take off we flew over the channel and had a great view of Calais and then Paris. The food was good and your first drink is free. Also, in Classic Premium you don't have to pay for headphones and you get extra legroom and a more comfortable seat. We paid £39 extra for this upgrade and it was worth it as if you pay £29 for extra legroom seats you still have to pay for drinks, headphones etc. The cabin crew were very friendly and attentive and the captain kept updating us on the progress of our flight. We landed in Rhodes after just 3 hours and 25 minutes which is really fast for that flight. We flew a stunning final approach over the sea, then a 180 degree turn over Rhodes town & across Ixia bay to land on runway 25. A great start to a great holiday! | ||
