Home > Spanair > 2002 > ReviewTaken November 2002 from Newcastle to Arrecife, Lanzarote28/11/02 Flight JKK3108 to Lanzarote. Check-in couldn't have been quicker. We arrived so late at the desk there was no queue, and also no window seats. Assigned seats 26C and 26D. We only have one airbridge at Newcastle on the international side of the pier and we were lucky enough to find our A321 aircraft parked at it. On board the most unusual thing was having an all male crew. The seats in row 26 had excellent legroom and were situated behind the row on the exit. The crew were very professional in their duties and service. As soon as we were airborne we had the drinks trolley round followed soon after by the hot meal which was tasty chicken in sauce. In flight movie was My Big Fat Greek Wedding, which helped pass the time before the duty free service and an additional drink service. They also came round with hot towels, something even BA do not do now. We were able to follow our route down to Lanzarote on the screens, which I am sure on other flights are normally stowed for taxi, take off and landing, but nevertheless stayed down for the duration. Music channels were a bit poor, but on the whole the service and comfort of the flight could not have been better and not a bad time of day to fly either. We landed in Arrecife at 18:50. Excellant all round, pleased they don't use the old MD-83's on this route. | ||
