Home > Spanair > 2002 > ReviewTaken December 2002 from Arrecife, Lanzarote to NewcastleFlight JKK3107 05/12/02 Upon returning home after a week in Lanzarote, we had to be at the airport for 05:55, which was bad. Due to having excellent standard seating in row 26 on the outward journey, I did not ask for extra legroom for the return at check in. We were allocated 17E and F. Again we boarded a modern A321 for out flight and it is an immaculate and impressive aircraft, however it became apparent that upon getting in my seat that the legroom was not the same as the row 26 seat on outward journey, as my knees were jammed up against the back of the solid armrests in front. I couldn't stretch my legs under the seat in front like I had done on the outward flight. We took off at 09:00 and headed into some of the bumpiest weather I have ever experienced on a flight from the Canaries, so bad that one poor lady spent 3 hours of the 4 1/2 hour flight locked in the toilet. Still the cheerful female crew provided a full service of hot breakfast, drinks and duty free, however the turbulence became too severe to do the secondary drinks service. The music was the same as outward journey, but the film was some rubbish I cannot even remember the name of. All in all, I think Spanair are an excellent airline and I would definitely use them again, the only thing I would make sure of is that I get extra legroom. | ||
