Taken 1996 from Manchester to Malta

This arline has to be the worst I have ever had to fly on. The aircraft, a Lockheed L-1011, was on lease to Caledonian and I was appalled by the state of it. I did not feel safe on the aircraft through out the flight - the engines made such a noise on take off. A noise which I have NEVER encountered before. I amongst others were worried - that's how bad it was.

The interior wasn't very clean, there was no entertainment (as I remember) - even the actual seats in the aircraft did not seem to be aligned properly. The ceiling panels where hanging off, with what looked like steam coming into the cabin. One of the flight attendants also managed to catch my leg with a drinks trolley, which gave me a nice big bruise for the whole of our holiday.

When we came to land at Malta, the landing was really heavy and it scared a lot of the people on board.

The journey back wasn't as bad, but I was worried about my safety and vowed never to fly with this airline again and I haven't.
