Home > Air Anatolia > ReviewTaken August 2001 from Antalya to DublinReturning from Antalya was not fun. Before we'd even left the hotel, our rep. told us that the flight would be four hours later. This was apparently due to the fact that it had missed it's slot in Schiphol, and had to wait for another, and would therefore be late into Antalya. She said that nevertheless, we had to proceed to the airport and check in. Check-in was a nightmare! Only three staff (at three tiny desks), to check in hundreds of people. The airport was very hot, and the queues very long, with lots of very bored and bawling children, unfortunately. It took over an hour of standing in line, before we were finally free of our luggage, and ready to kill time in the shops. The security staff at the airport were rather intimidating too - not the airline's fault, I know, but still rather off-putting. Arriving at the boarding gate, (and though the flight was already over 4 hours late), we proceeded to wait another hour at least, before a member of staff arrived to let us board. No explanations given - just a rather rude grunt as the boarding cards were collected. The aircraft, although warm on the outward journey, was freezing this time, and the same slimy food we'd had going out, was passed around in the same cardboard boxes. Although the return flight was an hour and a half longer (it took over 6 hours), we were only offered one drink (with dinner). Not very impressive at all, but you get what you pay for I guess. | ||
