Taken January 2003 from Glasgow to Malaga via Stansted

The 1st flight to Stansted from Glasgow was on new years day and there was no problems with the flight at all. It was a takeoff on G-IGOF runway 05 to the north, then down to Stansted runway 23 with the flight being an hour. We left Glasgow around 10-11. The legroom is excellent, you get so much.

The wait in Stansted was OK. Stansted is an amazing airport, the 3rd time I had been, it's just so much better than that shed of an airport AKA luton. There is so much happening that you can see and there's no shortage of Ryanairs or Gos or Gos in EasyJet colours or even 747 jumbos!!!

The connecting train to the international apron is a nice touch to the airport.

We flew on G-IGOS in EasyJet colours and boarded through the airbridge avoiding the miserable sleet. The flight was on time and was another great flight, except without TVs it's just boring so we take mags.

It was only a short taxi out to Stansteds rwy 23, then we landed over the inland on malagas rwy 14, the airport wasn't busy at all really and it was about 5-7pm.

The flight back was on G-IGOS and it was a take off at 11:25. This flight was good as well. When we were approaching the UK, "it has been snowing in Stansted and they have to clear the runway so we will have to go in a holding pattern" or something like that the captain said. We flew into the UK at 220mph and 18000ft, we did a holding pattern for 10-15 mins) and landed about 20-30 mins late, it wasn't Go's fault because of the snow. There was no snow at all when we landed though anywhere, we landed on the rwy 05 at Stansted so it was a short-ish taxi in, but we had to wait 10 mins for a 747 freighter that wanted to leave the apron and taxi to runway, to do what it wanted.

Though the flight attendents were OK, there was one that never smiled once and seemed down.

We got the train back and got our luggage (the luggage belts in stansted are quite amazing because the cases crash into a metal barrier after dropping onto the belt), then we checked in for our 5:10 flight to Glasgow. The domestic apron is not as good as the international apron though, definitely.

We left the gate at 5:10 on G-IGOX and we did the long taxi out to the 2nd last holding point. We waited for a Buzz and 2 EasyJet coloured Go's and an MD-11 Fed Ex, which I wish I was on cause it's a lovely plane. That was about 5:35, then after the Fed Ex left, I noticed the landing lights had gone off and the captain said "we're having to wait on a plane making an emergency landing because of a sick passenger". I saw the plane even and made it out as a channel express 737-300 and when I read the paper next day "plane makes emergency landing at Stansted" and it was because of a hydraulics problem, but it never affected landing in end. So the captain lied in the end, but it was probably to not scare passengers in case the plane crashed near us ior something. I don't know.

The landing in Glasgow rwy 5 was alright and everything was good really. I would go with them again, before and after they turn into EasyJet, but I don't want to go anywhere near Luton again thanks.
