Home > Air Europa > ReviewTaken January 2003 from Edinburgh to Tenerife SouthFirstly, Edinburgh airport was quite impressive. I imagined something on a slightly smaller scale. Boarded aircraft well on time. Friendly attentive crew on this new Boeing 737-800 with blended winglets. Although we were boarded on time we took off 24 minutes. It was a rather bumpy take off due to the weather but the feel of the aircraft was similar to sitting a in car which handles excellently. Although the screens were brought down to show the in flight safety video, they returned to their stowages never to see the light of the aircraft cabin again - on this flight anyway. Annoying since it is 4 hours to Tenerife. No attempt was made to sell headsets, but the audio channels were turned on, which I listened to with my own headset. Row 15 where I was sitting is at the emergency exit with legroom aplenty - but the seat is a little narrow. Cheap enough drinks service was followed by a nice meal of tagliatele, chicken style with a sponge pudding. Another drink service later and some duty frees, the captain announced descent in Tenerife, where we landed just under 4 hours after departure from Edinburgh. All in all the service of the crew was good, and along the lines of Futura, but where was that hot towel? Spanair do it. Sounds funny, but these little bits and pieces go a long way in keeping a customer feel like a guest. I would recommend them to future travellers, there was really no complaints at all. | ||
