Taken December 2002 from Jakarta to Denpasar

The flight was GA 404 from JKT to DPS. We boarded the plane by bus, not directly from the gate. It was a little bit uncomfortable.

We flew on a B747-200, the old type. I could not hear clearly when the flight attendant made an announcement because the plane's engines were louder than the loudspeaker, especially when we were cruising in the sky. I had the same experience on a DC10 of Garuda on another flight. Why? I think it is because when the aircraft is getting older, the engines sound is getting louder, especially 1980's aircraft.
