Home > Air Canada Zip > ReviewTaken December 2002 from Edmonton to VancouverThis was the first time I have flown on Air Canada Zip, and I was surprised at the level of service on the flight. I was on a green Zip Boeing 737-200, which is an older plane, but not bad comfort-wise. The legroom is even better than WestJet's. Go figure. Although the connection was long, the service from the ground and the air was very good. There was no delay, and the flight crew were professional and good-natured. The flight to Vancouver was also very smooth. The only problem was just having to go through security upon connection, which is inconvenient. Connecting at Edmonton International from an Air Canada Jazz flight from Grande Prairie was interesting - you have to go through security, as there is *no connection past security* between the original and the new terminal. So it's kind of like the post 9/11 rule in the US where even passengers in transit to and from non-US destinations have to deplane, go through customs then security check, then reboard. However, I did not have to claim my baggage at all until I reached Vancouver, and going through security was quick, with professionally efficient security people. The reason I'm saying this is that for those who have to connect in Edmonton from a WestJet or AC Jazz flight to an AC mainline or vice versa - it's not as bad as you think, but it would be wise to allow some connection time as lines into security at Edmonton can be long! | ||
