Taken February 2001 from Washington DC to New York LAG

United (or "Untied" as it is known in the US) is a NIGHTMARE of an airline. I would rather fly Aeroflot or CAAC or even Garuda! Rather than bore you with a long tale of woe, I will just say that the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional - at one point I asked for their names and they both REMOVED THEIR NAME TAGS. Then when I told them I thought that was BS behavior, they called Security on me (BTW, I am a 5', 110 lb, 40 year old female) and when I laughingly asked why, the woman said, "You said a BAD WORD!".

I am not kidding. I should mention this all happened after my flight got cancelled and they sent a plane load of people running around to different gates to compete for seats on other flights.

It's no wonder they went bankrupt, I can't wait for the day they go out of business.
