Taken January 2003 from Mombasa to London Gatwick

This flight had a number of concerning aspects that I list below.

1. On boarding the aircraft it was noted that the majority of the cabin staff looked extremely tired, unhappy and dressed scruffily. In fact one male member of staff had on a dirty unpressed shirt whilst sporting a mop of uncombed hair.

2. All safety instructions were given in German, via a video (the outbound flight was a live demonstration in English). This was quite disconcerting to the nervous flyers etc.

3. I flew in economy plus and the service was slow being carried out by a disinterested staff group.

4. Requests for butter or worcester sauce, were met with we haven't got any, but on discussing this with the flight purser (who hid himself in the galley for most of the flight) these items appeared.

5. It was also noted that people travelling in economy were being served by an attentive crew, much earlier that passengers in Royal or Economy Plus seats.

In conclusion I have never flown with such a disinterested and unhappy cabin crew, this was extremely sad as the crew on the outward flight could not have been more helpful.
