Taken February 2003 from East Midlands to Jersey

The original return flight was cancelled, the excuse given being that Air Traffic Control had cancelled the slot. When pressed the staff member said there were only sixteen passengers booked on the flight and the Air Traffic Control excuse was what they had been told to say. Subsequent enquiries revealed that the flight had not been cancelled by Air Traffic Control either at East Midlands or the European Air Traffic Control Centre. The Airline did say that someone would get back to me regarding the matter and I am still waiting! Our return flight was delayed 2 hours as were a number of others during the day as the airline had "flown a ski-ing trip" which had subsequently delayed all flights for that aircraft that day.

It is a great shame that BMI Baby do not seem able to be upfront with their passengers - My experience of staff at check-in and on the aircraft has always been superb and it is a great shame that their efforts are undermined by others within the company.
