Home > Japan Airlines > ReviewTaken April 2001 from Chicago to Fukuoka, JapanFirst off, I would say JAL is not for the larger individual. The entertainment console sits inside of the seats, and it caused a larger person like myself pain for the entire trip. I think the seats are among the smallest I have ever sat in. The crew consisted of some short pilots who didn't exactly instill confidence, and the attendents were generally all young asian girls, cute, but probably not the most competent. Besides the comfort issues, the flight was a great price, and it was on time. Food was very good with free alcohol even in economy. Ride was somewhat bumpy in parts, but not too bad. I didn't think security was very tight in Narita, as after we landed, everyone was basically hanging out outside the plane and leaning against the engines waiting for shuttle buses to take us to the gates. The other flight from Narita to Fukuoka, was on a DC-10, they put the larger people in first class, which was nice as I was finally able to get some sleep for a couple of hours. When I do this again, I will pay the extra $600 for business or first class. | ||
