Taken March 2003 from London to Sydney

Having flown long haul with many carriers, I now would suggest that Malaysia Airlines are up there with the best. The service, from entering the golden lounge to leaving the plane, is fantastic. Attentive cabin crew, fantastic menus,and clean new planes make it a pleasure to fly.

The first leg was a 747 from London to K.L. The upper deck provides a great degree of privacy.

The second leg from K.L. to Sydney was on a 777, which does not afford the same privacy as everyone from economy troops past you as you wait take off. A small fault, but quite annoying just the same.

Both the return legs were 747s, so again almost perfect service and flights.

One problem we encountered was that on all three legs involving 747s, the video on demand was not available, a bit of an annoyance, as this was advertised strongly on the Malaysia Airlines website.

All in all, fantastic service and value.
