Home > SAS > 2003 > ReviewTaken April 2003 from London Heathrow to Oslo GardermoenFlights SK512 LHR-OSL and SK509 OSL-LHR Both flights were on Airbus A321s (LN-RKI and OY-KBF). These aircraft seemed new and were great to fly in. The seats vere big and very comfortable with adjustable headrests. I was a little surprised that there was no audio entertainment on either aircraft (instead the seats had laptop power points). However, there were TVs about every 4-5 rows which showed fashion shows, Mr Bean cartoons, Tom and Jerry and the airshow moving map and flight info channel. Perhaps the best bit was the inclusion of aircraft-mounted cameras, which I thought were only available on airlines such as Emirates. It was great to watch taxi, takeoff and landing. I was also surprised that there was no hot food on either flight. On the outward flight there was a scandinavian pasta salad and inbound there was a chicken salad, both served in snack boxes. It was good enough for a 2 hour flight. There was a 1/2 hour delay from Heathrow, but it wasn't the airline's fault (there was a lack of parking spaces). On the return journey we arrived slightly early. Scandinavian Airlines was much better than other european airlines, despite it having very different inflight ideas! | ||
