Home > Malaysia Airlines > 2001 > ReviewTaken August 2001 from Kuala Lumpur to Paris CDGI used to fly home with Austrian Airlines/Lauda Air, but the Lauda Air flight which was coming from Australia was more than overbooked. After 2 hours waiting at checkin, the quite unfriendly Lauda Air staff at KLIA managed to get me on a Malaysia Airlines flight to Paris and then on to Brussels with (RIP) Sabena. To relieve the pain of waiting they upgraded me to business class. I was really pleased with that! I arrived on board 5 minutes before takeoff and the crew friendly directed me to the upper deck of the 747-400. They even knew my name! The flight itself was relaxed, I had a good sleep in the very roomy seats, was given a splendid 3 course meal for dinner and a delicious breakfast the next morning. Like some reviewers already mentioned: Malaysia Airlines is an underestimated airline with very good overall service! Up there with the best like Emirates and Singapore Airlines. | ||
