Home > Air Madagascar > ReviewTaken October 2002 from Nice to AntananarivoWe flew Delta from LAX to Nice (via JFK), and then on Air Madagascar (MD) from Nice to Antananarivo. We were expecting the Delta flights to be far superior, but were quite surprised at how a 3rd world airline was able to beat out a U.S. Major. The aircraft was a new B767-300 with individual seat monitors. Economy class was comfortable if not plush, the food was passable, and the inflight entertainment was average, but the Malagasy crew was warm and welcoming, a reflection of the Malagasy people. There was a 75 minute delay in departure, but the friendliness of the cabin crew more than made up for it. Who knows how much longer the Malagasy will be able to bankroll such fine service on a 3rd world budget, so take advantage while it lasts. NOTE: If you fly Air Madagascar into the country, you are eligible for a 25% discount on all Air Madagascar domestic flights. As the Malagasy road system is horrid, flying is the only practical way to get from A to B. | ||
