Home > EL AL > ReviewTaken April 2003 from Paris to Tel AvivI have to say airline is a nightmare. Even though I had booked a flight and confirmed it before hand, at the check-in desk I was told that I was not on the flight. They had to phone the travel agency to find out what happened to my booking. By the time they found out that there was an error in their (airline's) system my flight had already departed, so I had to wait until the next flight, which was the following day. I was only then told that the airline would not provide me with accomadation, but luckily I had insurance. The following day at checkin the Israeli staff were very rude. Once on board it was evident that the aircraft (B747-200)was very old. It looked worn out and was very dirty inside (no one seemed to have cleaned the seats or the seat pockets - which were full of gum). The flight was even worse. The food was horrible, the in-flight entertainment system was not working in the economy cabin and the stewards were very unprofessional, you could hear them laughing and shouting all the time, which was very inconsiderate. The landing involved the aircraft "bouncing" a number of times before the aircraft settled on the tarmac. For the return flight I booked on Air France, which was by far a much better airline. Overall, this was an experience I would rather forget. I do not recommend this airline to anyone, unless they are used to such bad service and quality. | ||
