Taken December 2002 from Nadi to Sydney

This was part of round the world Qantas ticket. We had flown from Los Angeles before Christmas and the flight was very full and uncomfortable on the night flight. Poor service and food, and cramped seats.

This flight was nearly empty. We pushed back and whilst at the end of the runway, someone pointed out a fluid leak from under the wing so we returned to the stand and it was checked, only to be explained as excess condensation on a humid day. I believe this happpens to Air Pacific quite a lot. The old 747-200 was great with a row of seats each and the cabin crew were helpful. A pity this was our departing memory of the islands and not our first.
