Taken May 2003 from Stuttgart to Heraklion, Crete

First scheduled flight for years, after charters and low frills - reserved seating and a hot meal seem like luxuries from times past now!

Flights (both out and back) were exactly on time. Service good - announcements in Greek and Engish, sweets before take off ... edible and fresh meals .... one drinks pass per flight, plus at least two tea/coffee rounds.

Only hiccough - the company's web site which I booked through, made no mention of a stop in Athens on each leg (all Aegean's inter-Europe flights have stops in either Athens, Thessaloniki or other major Greek cities), which meant leaving the aircraft, doing a short tour of the airport complete with fluorescent transit card and hostess, before finally reboarding the same plane you had just left, and with the inevitable double booking of some of the allocated seats!

Luggage was scanned and checked at Athens, retagged by security and then reloaded, so it arrived safely at destination. Even on the short hop between Athens and Heraklion (30 minutes or so) there was a drinks pass and a caramel and peanut foilwrapped cookie!

At approx 350 Euros round trip, in comfortable leather seats (3-3), hot meals and pleasant cabin crew, it was a pleasant start and end to my holiday.
