Home > Aer Lingus > 2003 > ReviewTaken June 2003 from London Heathrow to ShannonThis would have been a superb service were it not for our 90 minute delay departing Heathrow. We left the stand on time, and got almost to the runway when someone discovered a leaking galley boiler on the Airbus A320, and we had to return to the stand. I can accept that failures happen, but if it was bad enough to stop the plane from flying, why was it not spotted before the flight was boarded? The captain was very apologetic and updated the passengers personally on the repair status, but I still think it should have been spotted earlier. Other than that, a good airline. Pleasant check in and cabin crew, clean aircraft, good legroom for short haul economy and a nice smooth flight. It does knock confidence though when such an obvious defect was not spotted - what else could be wrong with the aircraft? | ||
