Taken May 2003 from Chicago to Mexico City

Message: My experience with AeroMexico was disagreeable to say the least. The flight to Mexico City was uneventful. When I arrived at the airport ticket counter for the return trip, I was not allowed to board the plane. The agents clearly admitted they had closed the flight early. The plane was right there, sitting. I pleaded that I was within the time limit on the tickets and I had one carry-on over my shoulder. I could have walked onto the plane.

Their response: Shrug. No more flights to Chicago that day. An airline that values customer service would have worked on the problem, especially since it was of their doing.

I booked a last-minute one-way flight on Mexicana for a cool $452. I shared this story with the AeroMexico VP for U.S. operations and got no response.
