Home > Britannia Airways > 2003 > ReviewTaken July 2003 from Alicante to Leeds BradfordBack home and after asking at check in, we got seats together at a window. So Britannia lies, not pre allocated seating at all. Same aircraft, looks very nice outside G-BYAK, but it's a time machine inside, as are the colourful crew uniforms. Seat pad next to us missing, soon discovered it was due to an ill passenger on the outbound and my mum's seat was covered in sick too. Cabin attendant could not understand why my mum was unhappy about sitting on vomit for two hours, but were eventually prepared to change the seat pad and seemed jolly and smiley for the rest of the flight. If you're tall, get extra leg room. The Britannia cabin will kill you otherwise. Hit thunder storms over France for over an hour. Even as a frequent flyer, I was unsettled - it was very bad and we only touched the top of the storm. The captain even asked the crew to take their seats and stop the drinks service. Landed in Leeds 30 minutes early - very fast landing too. All in all, a bad experience with Britannia which has put me off them a lot. Sorry if you're flying with them. Hope you get a better service. I will pay less and go on a low fares like Jet 2 or Planet Air, and get a better service thanks. | ||
